Dealing with Loneliness as a Freelance Designer with Frankie Harry
Episode Summary
In this episode of Brand Your Brain, Robin is joined by Frankie Harry discussing all things loneliness as a freelance designer. Frankie opens up about moving to a quieter town away from the people he knew and what effect this had on his life and business.
The Confession:
“Being a self employed designer in full-time is so lonely and it feels like there is no safe space anymore in the design field. From “You undercharge“ or “How dare you charge so much“ to “You’re not creative/ professional/ experienced enough“ from fellow designers. I’m getting tired of it, I just want to design, cause that’s where I’m happiest and connect with other people, have maybe a co working call with other freelance designers once a month”
